Being Begins With Knowing Who You Are

Being begins with knowing who we are.  To understand this we must first find ourselves in the physical world.  Then we must go deeper and travel onto other planes of existence.  If we are to grow we cannot stop at x and y and z.  We must ask ourselves, as if each emotion is a signpost for where we are.  ‘Where am I in Love, in anger, in compassion, in desire?’ And then we must ask ‘Is that where I want to be?’ When we ground ourselves with the knowledge of our location physically as well as spiritually, we begin to see beyond the city or the mountain we are in.  We begin to see our place on the plane of existence as it radiates out from us in endless directions. This is the moment when we understand that no matter where we are it is only a short distance to that place of balance and comfort that we seek.  Our problem is rarely the distance we must travel.  It is finding the right path to travel upon.” Simply receiving confirmation that there are more planes than the physical opened my consciousness to see beyond the sea around me.  I noticed the rise and fall of the waves.  I imagined the rise and fall of the tides.  I recognized in some places the tides created torrential waves that swept the land clean.  In others, it barely made a difference.  How could I not imagine that same imbalance in the human condition from continent to continent. “There is imbalance in the world for the same reason there is imbalance in the tides.  Every spirit is connected in the great sea of existence.  The imbalance we feel are the edges we make contact with as you try to connect to the energy that is.  It is the turbulence we feel in the endless spiritual energy that is as our true self tries to fit with every other connection in existence. Each must find a single point of connection on an infinite scale.  As one point of connection is made it instantly alters all of the other points of connection.  This endless ebb and flow of energy that is created is the imbalance we feel.”...
